A few months ago, Honda shared a few images of its camouflaged Civic Type R prototype on the North Loop, and now, it has followed up with several more photos made at the Suzuka Raceway.
As you can see, the sporty hatchback has shed some of its mascara and looks less over-the-top than its predecessor did. Among other things, the rear wing is not as giant anymore and the middle tailpipe is wider. A glance at the wheels reveals Brembo calipers and Michelin professional tires.
Honda stated earlier that the next-gen Civic Type R would not be electrified, contrary to what some might expect. As such, it may debut with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot dialed up a bit compared to the old version.
