Allegedly, this 2021 Honda Civic Type R hot hatch belongs to a batch of 600 Limited Edition units (see video), but chances are you will not be able to find any proof: it has burned down completely.
The seller of the destroyed car does not mention the cause of the fire, but states that the car is a write-off and cannot be restored (as if this were somehow not obvious). The fire had claimed the exterior finish, the interior and the drivetrain completely, and the key fob is gone, too.
Judging by the isolated specks of yellow paint, red brake calipers and wheel rims, this was indeed a Limited Edition Civic Type R once. The VIN is not given in the ad, but the owner says he bought the original car for $51,100 USD, which corresponds to the price of that edition.
A month ago, another Limited Edition Civic went on sale with 25 km (16 miles) on the odo and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at 306 PS (302 hp / 225 kW). It fetched $102,000 USD. But who would ever be interested in a ruined wreck? We’ll just have to wait and see, it seems.
