Honda shows the SUV e:concept, promises mass production

The Japanese automaker has come to the Beijing Auto Show 2020 with the SUV e:concept, an electric car prototype destined to hit production and become the marque’s second EV on the lineup.

No specifics have been provided at this point, so one can only assume the production vehicle will be a practical five-door hatchback with dual motors and AWD in its top spec.

As far as the design is concerned, the frunk line looks very high (perhaps too hitched up, actually), and the overall outlines are those of a regular two-space ICE car.

The company says it will be delivering the Honda E with Level 3 self-driving tech on board, as well as the opportunity to use your smartphone as a key fob. Over-the-air updates are likewise expected.
