Honda’s newest e-SUV previewed on video

A fresh YouTube video provides a close-up look at the Honda e:N SUV Concept, which resembles the Tesla Cybertruck more than any other Honda and should morph into a production model in a few years.

The interior and the powertrain remain completely in the dark. Honda’s intention when designing this study was to demonstrate its new design philosophy oriented primarily at China. Aside from angular looks, these new cars will incorporate plenty of cutting-edge tech features, such as advanced self-driving.

Despite some sharp lines and corners, the prototype appears rather restrained and laconic as a whole, reminding us of popular coupe-like SUVs with massive rears. Its headlights are diode threads woven into the space between the fake hood and fake grille, as well as around the fake air intakes in the bumper (as an EV, there is plenty of elements about it that only serve a purely aesthetic purpose). There are no door handles or side mirrors.

The e:N lineup will be launched in a few years’ time and will include more cars that just this SUV. For example, the e:N GT and the e:N Coupe have already been announced with similar looks and tech, but different ground clearance and door count.
