A team of students from the Gunma Automobile College in Japan has attended this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon with a car looking suspiciously like a Toyota Prius Coupe. It’s only after a much closer look that you can realize it’s a fourth-gen Honda Integra in disguise.
The headlights are the only thing the students borrowed directly from the Integra. The rest, including the front bumper and splitter, side sills and fenders, rear diffuser and trunk lid, was sourced from third parties. 18-inch Work wheels slotted into the arches, and Lexus IS 350 taillights were installed to amplify the Toyota vibes.
The interior didn’t stay stock, either. Aside from the Recaro bucket seats and Momo steering wheel considered almost mandatory in such conversions. the car wound up with an infotainment tablet and a premium audio system from Japanese local brand Diecock.
From the technical perspective, the car is still an Integra Mk4, which means it continues to rely on a K20A four-cylinder engine to drive the wheels with roughly 220 PS (217 hp / 162 kW). Air-ride suspension ensures it feels and handles differently on the road, though.
The styling is a one-off and will not be offered for sale.
