Customers in Japan may now order a handy accessory for their electric vans to always know when to top up the battery.
It looks like a simple LED charge indicator that you can put under the windshield, plug into the on-board computer and easily see the current battery charge status from a distance – no need to walk up to the car to see how much still remains.
The ¥31,900 option is currently only available for the N-Van e: model, but the company says support for other models will be added later. What remains unclear is whether it will go on sale outside of Japan anytime soon.
