Honda flashes a couple of mystery concepts in latest ad

Honda’s most recent promotional video is largely dedicated to its all-electric Prologue SUV, but also touches upon the history of the brand’s eco-friendly models and provides a glimpse on two concepts never revealed before – a sedan and a CUV.

The first vehicle shown is the 1975 Civic, which used to ship with a special low-emission engine. It also briefly mentions the 1999 Honda Insight, America’s first hybrid from the Japanese automaker. It goes on to show the hydrogen-powered FCX Clarity, the HondaJet 2600, which is a prototype of a long-range jet plane, and ends with the Motocompacto, a recently revealed folding battery scooter.

But one of the concepts shown doesn’t have a name yet. It looks like another entry in the Honda e:N prototype lineup that has been expanding since the fall of 2021. It appears to have at least four doors, which makes it similar to the e:N GT show car.

A CGI effect turns the sedan into a crossover, and a badge ‘K9’ appears on the a-pillar. The car sports a laconic, clean-cut appearance with unusual headlights, a sporty profile and a black plastic body kit. It appears finalized and ready for mass production, with the sole exception of video cameras mounted on pylons instead of side mirrors.
