A 2009 Honda S2000 is up for bidding right now with a few days remaining and the top offer at $111,111. It is a rare CR version (only 669 units made for the USA) with 122 miles (198 km) under its belt.
The letters CR stand for ‘Club Racer’, a particularly track-friendly special edition of the S2000 that had only been produced for a year before the model was discontinued. CR vehicles came with removable hardtops, improved aerodynamic kits, stiffer suspension, and revised steering. They also made use of different 17-inch wheels and weighed 41 kilos (90 pounds) less than the standard spec.
This particular example is yellow and black both outside and inside, sporting bucket seats wrapped in dark Alcantara with yellow accents and stitching. Equipment on board includes an audio system, an AC and an engine start button.
Like its more mundane-looking cousin, the S2000 CR uses a 2.2-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine partnered with a six-speed manual transmission and a self-locking differential. The output stays standard at 240 PS (237 hp / 176 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque.
