Chinese premium carmaker Hongqi has posted a new photo of its upcoming electric SUV, the E202, which will be opening its New Energy vehicle lineup when it goes on sale in China later this year.
The concept car debuted last year – browse to the end of the gallery to see it – but it was still envisioned as a convertible SUV back then. In contrast, the production car comes with a fixed top. Note also the added LiDAR, which will likely be used for various self-driving features.
The Hongqi E202 comes based on the FME architecture designed for cars with up to 3,450 mm (134.8 inches) of wheelbase. It is also known that the model packs a 140-kWh traction battery rated for 300 km (186 miles) of range.
All in all, Hongqi New Energy expects to design 15 new EVs to sell in China and Europe.
