The premium automaker has started taking orders for the 2024MY HS7, an all-new crossover SUV registered last winter under the trademark ‘HS6’. Apparently, the company had wanted to sell it as a slightly more affordable alternative to its existing HS7 model (available since 2019), but ultimately decided to rebrand it as the next generation.
Prices lie within the range of 259,800–335,800 Yuan. The car is 4,995 mm long, 1,960 mm wide and 1,760 mm tall with 2,920 mm between the axles. The front end looks in line with other Honqgi models, but the sculpted rear fenders look new, as do the sporty c-pillars.
The new HS7 will be available with six or seven seats: the six-seater will offer two separate seats in the second row with power adjustments and other creature comforts. The car will also get a couple of 12.3-inch displays, a 12-channel Dynaudio system, and surround view cameras.
Only one powertrain has been revealed so far: a mild hybrid based on a 2.0T engine with 252 PS (249 hp / 185 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft). The transmission is eight-speed automatic, and you can choose between FWD and AWD. In its fastest version, the luxury SUV is expected to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.5 seconds.
