Chinese automaker Hozon Auto has started the road tests of its EP32 battery crossover scheduled for release under its ‘Neta’ sub-brand. According to Car News China, which posted these spy shots, the EV will come to the market in 2024 priced from 200,000 Yuan.
The details are scarce at the moment, but we know that the Neta EP32 runs on the same platform as the Neta GT coupe and the Neta S sedan (in the video here). It has nearly 3 meters (9.8 feet) of wheelbase and looks very different from the models named above with new headlights and a trapezoid air intake at the front looking not unlike a monstrous maw.
The interior has also seen some improvements. For one, while the sedan and the coupe offer two standalone displays for the dashboard and the multimedia, the SUV has a single widescreen display.
Powertrain-wise, we expect the EP32 to receive Neta’s standard electric motor with 231 PS (228 hp / 170 kW) mated to a 72-kWh battery pack with no further options. This should give it around 500 km (310 miles) of range.
