The earlier rumors that the struggling Chinese EV startup Human Horizons could be acquired by Avatr Technology were now debunked by representatives of the company, who called them “nonsense”.
The Avatr brand was co-created between CATL, Changan and Huawei. Rumors emerged last week that the relatively successful EV company was in talks with Human Horizons regarding its buyout. The latter has recently put all production on hold and is looking for a rescuer before it can continue producing HiPhi-branded EVs.
According to reports, the Human Horizons CEO even visited the Changan factory in person to conduct negotiations. It now looks like they fell through.
