Mil-Spec builds the Hummer H1 Track Titan, an offroader-turned-racecar

Why do some people modify cars so extremely that even their primary purpose is lost in the process? Because it often looks dead cool, that’s why!

This is what the Mil-Spec Automotive team must have thought when they turned this Hummer H1 into a racing-spec monster car lovingly called the Track Titan.

They began by lowering the suspension by 180 mm (7 inches), reinforcing the chassis and the brakes, adding a limited-slip differential and removing the off-road tires. The latter were exchanged for a set of Pirelli racing tires.

The stock 6.6-liter diesel engine of the car received a boost to stellar 800 hp (595 kW) and an even greater amount of torque.

Mil-Spec Automotive decided against messing with the 4WD and the independent suspension of their Hummer H1 Track Titan, necessitating extra care when driving it at high speeds.

The crazy modded “Humvee” can reportedly provide worthy competition to some of the best SUVs out there in terms of pure acceleration performance. Perhaps someday someone will film a video proving it.
