Brand-new Hummer EV pickup teased with car-wide headlights, 1000 HP

General Motors has confirmed the rumors about the electric revival of its Hummer range. The first four teaser videos are already here, and the dates have been set.

The GMC Hummer EV will celebrate its full reveal on May 20, 2020, and hit the showrooms in the fall of 2021 at the earliest.

The range-topping pickup truck will boast 1,000 horsepower (745 kilowatts) and a total of 15,600 Newton-meters (11,500 pound-feet) of torque at the wheels, as long as reduction gear ratios are included in the equation. It will sprint 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in three seconds flat and have around 650 kilometers (400 miles) of range.

Technically, the new Hummer comes based on the BT1 chassis of the Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban, and Tahoe – a derivative from the GMT T1XX primary architecture.

The footage revealed thus far only shows us the front end of the truck, which has headlights spanning its entire width, a tiny GMC badge, and DRLs up on the roof.
