Mil-Spec Automotive builds a Hummer with superb suspension and air-cushioned seats

The U.S. car tuning workshop Mil-Spec Automotive has revealed the final result of its Hummer H1 upgrade project. The vehicle sports formidable all-terrain suspension, air-cushioned seats, and a boosted engine.

MSA has designed the entire suspension from scratch. It enables the ride height to be adjusted within the range of 18 cm (7”). It can also operate in various modes dependent on the road surface quality. The re-suspended Hummer H1 boasts nearly 46 cm (18”) of ground clearance and can traverse waters up to one meter (3.3 ft.) high.

The engineer team has also reinforced the vehicle body with Kevlar and treated the framework with a protective powder spray.

The regular seats were replaced by pneumatic (i.e., air-pillowed) ones with the capabilities of unrestrained electronic adjustment, heating, and ventilation.

The hood cover of the extreme off-roader conceals an improved diesel engine now capable of 510 hp (380 kW) and a whopping 1,356 Nm (1,000 lb·ft) of torque. You may even opt for the second-level upgrade (chip tuning) if you can spare enough money, but this isn’t strictly necessary. The car makes 100 km/h (60 mph) from a standstill in mere 6.8 seconds as it is.

Make sure you have $290,000 ready if you want a ride like this.
