While the whole world is anxiously waiting for the turning point in the coronavirus pandemic, the talented tuner from Novosibirsk, Russia keeps us entertained with its invariably crazy projects. Meet world’s first Hummer H2 riding on 13-inch rollers!
On a little historical note, you could actually encounter wheel sizes like this used on affordable production cars from the 1970s and -80s, some examples being Opel Kadett, Volkswagen Golf and Mazda subcompacts. However, even back then did serious SUVs enjoy much larger wheel and tire sizes. The Hummer H1, for example, had 16-inchers wrapped in huge 36-inch tires.
Since Garage54 failed to procure a set of natively compatible 13-inch rims for the H2 (baffling, isn’t it?), the team jury-rigged one using a plasma cutter and a hammer. The outcome looks every bit as outrageously bad as expected, and is therefore a success.
Watch the video to see the poor Frankenhummer almost make it to 50 mph (80 km/h) without breaking down.
