Hyundai Mobis may be a company primarily known as an aftermarket parts supplier, but its CES booth will be dedicated to showcasing a ‘smart cabin’ concept for SAE Level 4 and 5 cars.
Among other things, the South Korean company will demonstrate an innovative windshield tech that can dim the glass to display all kinds of movies and other video content.
Another highlight is an emotion and gesture recognition feature. We are told that the system can 'read' the emotional state of each passenger and adjust the environment accordingly. It can even exchange this data with other self-driving cars in real time, although there’s no mention of why this is relevant.
