Hyundai has published a teaser video dedicated to its new entry-level SUV called the Venue. The subcompact utility vehicle will occupy a market niche under the Hyundai Kona. The company will reveal it on April 17, 2019 in two places simultaneously: New York (USA) and New Delhi (India).
The Hyundai Venue looks stylistically similar to the Kona. In particular, it sports a similar two-tier light design. That said, it has rectangular headlights and a visibly larger front grille.
Industry professionals expect the new car to ship with a choice between 1.4-liter gasoline and diesel engines, as well as a 1.0-liter turbo gas engine mated to a 7-speed DCT.
Hyundai had previously mentioned that its new SUV would be under four meters (13.1 ft.) long. It also said it would primarily target young businesspeople who prefer cars with unique design.
Sales will begin in May 2019.
