Hyundai Venue leaks in spy photos

Images showing the exterior and cabin of the upcoming Hyundai Venue SUV have recently emerged online. The car will celebrate its premiere at two different motor shows held in India and the USA on April 17, 2019.

Apparently, the car gets the familiar stacked headlight design of the Kona and Santa Fe. Its rear looks similar to that of the Carlino Concept the company introduced at the Delhi Motor Show in India three years ago.

There is also a badge at the rear that reads “Turbo”, confirming the rumor that the Venue will ship with a turbocharged gasoline engine, among other options. Industry pros believe that the unit has no more than one liter of displacement and links to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The car is also expected to be available with 1.4-liter, naturally aspirated diesel and gasoline engines rated at roughly 100 hp (75 kW).

The new Venue SUV will be marketed as a cheaper alternative to the Kona. Indian automotive news media tend to agree that it will go on sale priced at 800,000 Indian rupees.

The new Hyundai Venue will arrive on the Indian market in May 2019, followed by the U.S. debut at a still unannounced later date.
