South Korean carmaker Hyundai has posted a photo of an all-electric show car called the 45 Concept on its social pages. The vehicle will be present at the Frankfurt Motor Show kicking off next week.
As a design study, the car provides some insight into how Hyundai sees its future EVs. It is partly inspired by the Pony – marque’s first ever production car released 45 years ago.
Unlike many prototypes, the Hyundai 45 Concept will eventually hit the mass market – albeit in a seriously modified form. The company promises to shape it into an all-electric hatchback/SUV based on the E-GMP platform and offering 450 km (280 miles) of range by 2021.
