The South Korean carmaker has presented what it claims to be the world’s first smart cruise control system that learns and improves itself based on drivers’ actions.
The system is called SCC-ML and comes powered by machine learning. A radar and a front-mounted camera are used to gather the data to be analyzed by the main on-board computer. An AI processes the data in real time and uses them to suggest behavior scenarios (up to 10,000 scenarios considered at any given moment).
Hyundai Motor Group does not provide any release estimates for the tech, which is still in its concept stages.
