In pursuit of tradition, the famous car brand Hyundai has given its Kona crossover a new name: Hyundai Encino. The company had made this decision shortly before the start of mass sales of the model on the Chinese market. Encino was officially introduced at the International Car Show in Guangzhou.
Whatever the reason for the new name, there are a few features of Hyundai Encino not found among its counterparts sold everywhere else. There are round fog headlamps and unique black-painted wheels, to name a few. Nothing can be said about the interior, since the car shown at the presentation had its windows completely blacked out.
The Chinese version of the crossover will be equipped with a 1.6L gasoline engine rated at 177 horsepower. Mass production will begin in 2018.
