Hyundai quietly facelifts the Aura for India

The wallet-friendly Aura sedan has been available in India since January 2020, so Hyundai Motor India Ltd. decided to keep it relevant with a number of updates.

The base trim stays completely unchanged, while all other trims now cost around 4,000 Rupees more than before. In return, buyers get larger 15-inch wheels, a refrigerated glove compartment, and a trunk lid spoiler.

The top-notch specification boasts an 8-inch multimedia screen, HVAC, wireless smartphone charging, and multiple USB ports.

The powertrains stay the same, which in this case means a 1.2-liter three-pot rated at 83 PS (82 hp / 61 kW) and 114 Nm (84 lb-ft) of torque and a 1.0-liter turbo good for 100 PS (99 hp / 74 kW) and 172 Nm (127 lb-ft). The former supports five-speed manual and semi-auto for transmission, while the latter goes manual only.

Standard equipment includes parking sensors, a couple of airbags and a speed limiter. You could pay extra for a reversing camera and a heated windshield.
