Hyundai company showed new generation of Elantra GT hatchback at the Chicago motor show. The advanced version of the novety, Sport, is equipped with the 201-hp turbine motor 1.6 T-GDI. More budget, basic model received the atmospheric 2,0 liter engine with capacity 162 of horsepowers.
Transmission in basic version is provided by 6-speed "automatics" or "mechanics". The engine of the Sport version works in a tandem with a seven-step "robot" with double clutch.
Dimensions of the car increased in comparison with last generation, however the car became slightly lower and easier. So, it weight decreased by 27 kilograms due to use of lighter materials in case of assembly . The car had an independent back suspension.
The company used new materials forf finishing, and also placed multimedia system with the 8-inch display, wireless charging of smartphones, Infiniti audio system and support of devices on iOS and Android in car salon. The security package includes tiering traffic control system, emergency brake and pedestrian detection, as well as function monitoringof the driver fatigue and blind zones.
Sales of the hatchback will begin from America, where the car will arrive in summer of 2017.
