Recently, we reported that Hyundai company published teasers of i30 station wagon , which official debut was planned for March. It was expected that the car will be for the first time shown to public within Geneva showroom. However, a few hours ago, Koreans posted several photos of a novelty in free access, having organized the preliminary presentation of a station wagon for Internet audience.
Now we can talk not only about the technical stuffing, but also about the exterior. So, i30 Wagon has a front part, identical to that one of the five-door hatchback, the rear part at the same time underwent serious changes. Besides, the station wagon became in 245 mm longer than the hatchback, though width and a wheelbase didn't change (1795 mm and 2650 mm respectively). The volume of a baggage compartment isn't little (over 600 liters), and with folded rear seat row it reaches 1650 liters. The station wagon also borrowed the most part of the technical equipment (including security systems, optics) from hatchback.
Let's remind that under the hood of the novelty there are motors with a turbo-supercharging (1-liter engine with 118 or 120 h.p. and 1,4-liter with 138 and 140 h.p.), and diesel engines (1,6-liter with 94, 108 h.p. and 131 h.p.). Transmission is presented by 6-staged "mechanics" or 7-band "automatics".
