Hyundai actually plans to produce an electric car based on its N Vision 74 Concept. According to ET News citing its own sources, the sports car will have the same powertrain architecture as its prototype, but output more power and torque to the wheels.
Back when it debuted, the N Vision 74 had a hydrogen fuel cell system feeding its dual motors rated at 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW) combined. According to the insiders, the production car will utilize the same basic principle, but will produce a superior 800 PS (789 hp / 688 kW). It will allegedly sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in three seconds flat.
Prioritizing raw performance over practicality, the model will likely have reduced range. The show car was presented with ‘over 600 km’ (373 miles) of driving range, but the sources are now saying the actual estimate is between 400 and 500 km (248–310 miles).
Hyundai has yet to comment on this leak. According to the insiders, this hydrogen supercar is being viewed as a technological flagship of sorts for the Korean automaker, and as such it will enjoy a strictly limited production run. We are told that only 100 units will be made, including 70 for open sale and 30 for various motorsports and promo events.
