The leading South Korean car maker Hyundai has introduced a curious restyling of the Grand Starex minivan. The vehicle features a shower, a kitchen and even a movie projector, among other things.
You can tell the camper van from the regular Grand Starex by the presence of a tent and a roof-mounted solar panel. The latter isn’t included in the base trim, though.
The passenger space of the vehicle offers a kitchen stove, a fridge, a table, food boxes, a movie projector and a portable outdoor shower cabin. The car can store up to 50 liters of water for the purposes of cooking and washing. A mosquito net and a large-screen TV set are both available under options.
The new Hyundai camper van relies on a 2.5-liter gas engine with 176 hp (131 kW) and a five-speed automatic transmission to move it forward. It normally ships front-driven, but you may order an all-wheel-drive version if you would rather have that one. Prices begin at U.S. $47,000.
Granted, we’ve seen rather more impressive motorhomes before. Take Jayco Embark, another US-built camper where you could sit in front of a fireplace, cook anything you want, wash things, vacuum-clean the premises including the dining room and the bedroom, keep a whole wardrobe of clothes and use the toilet.
