More than six months after Hyundai premiered its refreshed Grand Starex minivan, it decided to give it another update with the luxury Limousine series.
Compared to the main model, the Grand Starex Limousine is taller and has chrome coating on its kick plates and radiator grille. Its bumpers are lacquered to match the body, and it can accommodate between six and nine passengers, depending on the version you choose.
The six-seat version comes with a partition panel dividing the interior in two and holding a 21.5-inch infotainment screen. The rear seat row consists of two separate seats, rather than a single long one. Rear passengers even get a modestly-sized touchscreen display with access to some handy car features.
Hyundai never revealed the technical parameters of the new model. The old one ships with a choice between two 2.5-liter diesel engines rated at 140 and 176 hp (104 and 131 kW) and a CNG engine capable of up to 159 hp (118.5 kW). Customers may choose between front and all-wheel drive, as well as between manual and automatic.
The regular Grand Starex sells for U.S. $22,000. Prices for its hi-end specification will be announced in June shortly before the sales launch.
