Updated 2018 Hyundai Creta arrives in India

The next-generation Hyundai Creta crossover SUV, which went on sale in China last year, has now reached the Indian market with new accessories and a reworked design.

Exterior changes include a new radiator grille, refreshed headlights and rear lights, differently shaped bumpers, and new wheels. Then there are also LED-framed fog lamps – something we haven’t seen in the China and Brazil versions before.

Customers may get their car in vivid blue, orange, black/white, or black/orange gamma.

The interior now sports orange highlights on the gear stick and the seats. The top trim level comes with several electronic assistance features, a sunroof, cruise control and a wireless phone charger.

The engine palette remained the same. You can still buy the updated 2018 Hyundai Creta with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine capable of 123 hp (92 kW) or a turbocharged diesel one rated at either 90 or 128 hp (67 or 95 kW). Transmission can be six-speed manual or automatic.

The next-gen Hyundai Creta costs the equivalent of U.S. $14,000 to buy in India. Despite the considerably higher price tag, the vehicle will certainly enjoy good sales: Creta holds the 2nd place in the ranking of India’s most demanded SUV models.
