The South Korean vehicle manufacturer Hyundai has revealed its refreshed Ioniq hatchback series. Both the hybrid and the all-electric model received new electronic assists and improved voice control.
As far as safety is concerned, the car now comes with a driver drowsiness alert system, adaptive headlights that can automatically switch between low and high beam, cruise control, and lane control. Reportedly, the Ioniq voice command recognition system now has less trouble recognizing human speech. Finally, Hyundai HERE now packs even more features than ever.
The hybrid Ioniq comes equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 103 hp (77 kW), an electric motor with either 43 or 60 hp (32 or 45 kW), depending on the modification, and a seven-speed DCT.
The Ioniq EV packs a single 120-hp (90 kW) electric engine and a 28 kWh traction battery for up to 200 km (125 mi) driving range.
