According to various automotive media, Hyundai wants to develop and release a full-size SUV that would provide worthy competition to the Toyota Land Cruiser 200.
The new car won’t be released until at least 2021 and will probably be sold in the USA, Australia, and Middle East. It is going to be larger and more expensive than the Hyundai Palisade.
It is still unknown what kind of chassis the car will be based upon, possible options being Palisade and a custom body-on-frame architecture. As for the engines, it is likely to ship with a choice between a 3.3L V6 turbo and a 5.0L naturally-aspirated engine. A turbo diesel unit could also be made available.
Those who want more information will have to wait until 2019, since Hyundai is currently busy preparing for the premiere of its Palisade SUV, which should take place sometime before the end of the year.
