The new generation of the Hyundai ix25, also known as the Creta outside of China, went on sale this fall. Today, the manufacturer has revealed the details about the upcoming international version.
The second-gen Hyundai Creta will debut at the India Auto Expo 2020 on February 6 and ship in mid-March. It will be completely identical to its Chinese version in terms of appearance, although customers will be able to opt for a differently styled radiator grille or larger (17-inch) wheels. The dimensions will also stay the same at 4.3 meters (14.1 feet) long, 1,790 mm (5.87 ft.) wide and 1,635 mm (5.36 ft.) tall.
The company says nothing about the interior, but it is reasonable to assume that it will also copy the Chinese version. This would imply a digital dashboard, an infotainment system with a large display, a new steering wheel, and a gear selector knob.
The 2020 Creta will hit the market with a 1.5-liter non-turbo engine rated at 115 hp (85 kW), a 1.5-liter turbo diesel with the same power rating, and a smaller 1.0-liter gas turbo unit (specs unknown). The two available transmissions will be six-speed automatic and seven-speed DCT.
