Hyundai has posted a teaser video and some pics of its upcoming Creta for India. The SUV will be shown at the 2020 Auto Expo in India on February 6, 2020.
The Creta for the Indian market looks no different from its Chinese counterpart except for the radiator grille and wheels. On the whole, it takes quite a bit after the Hyundai Palisade, the marque’s flagship SUV.
Perhaps its single most interesting exterior feature comes in the form of intricate lighting design. The headlights are arranged in three tiers (main lights in the middle, narrow DRLs at the top, and fog lamps at the bottom). The rear lighting consists of two sections with a red strip running between them.
The cabin and engine specs remain unavailable at the moment. The China-spec Creta invariably ships with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine rated at 115 hp (86 kW). Rumor has it that the India spec will additionally inherit the two engines of the local Kia Seltos: a gasoline turbo-four mill good for 140 hp (104 kW) and a 1.5-liter diesel capable of 115 hp (86 kW).
