International Hyundai Creta makes do without large displays

The second-gen Hyundai Creta debuted last summer then its Chinese spec named “ix25” came out. In early spring, the car entered the Indian market under the name Creta, and soon, the international version will arrive in Middle East countries and Africa.

There are some major differences between the versions, however. The Chinese ix25 boasts a 10.25-inch central display that simultaneously serves as the climate control panel, and a 12.3-inch digital dashboard.

The worldwide spec is much cheaper than that, offering a 10.25-inch touchscreen for India and an 8-inch one for Middle East. The climate controls are hardware-based, and the dashboard houses a tiny 7-inch screen. Options include cruise control, wireless gadget charging, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, six airbags, and a reversing camera. In comparison, the ix25 additionally benefits from adaptive cruise control and all-around view cameras.

The dimensions of the car (L/W/H/wheelbase) are as follows: 4,300 x 1,790 x 1,635 x 2,610 mm.

The engine range for the international Hyundai Creta is identical to India. Your options are:

 - 1.5-liter non-turbo (115 hp / 86 kW), available with 6M/T and CVT;
 - 1.4-liter turbo-four (140 hp / 104 kW), DCT only;
 - 1.5-liter diesel (115 hp / 86 kW), 6M/T or 6A/T.

All three specs are front-wheel-drive only.
