According to Indian newspapers, the Hyundai Alcazar – a three-row, stretched version of the Creta designed primarily for the Indian market – will debut on April 6, 2021.
The newcomer is highly standardized with the Creta, but features a longer body, a different front bumper, a new radiator grille and custom wheels.
The interior comes in six- and seven-seat variants, the former replacing the middle row bank with two individual seats. An armrest between these seats houses a wireless phone charger, cup holders and a storage pocket for small things.
The feature list is expected to include a digital dashboard, a 10.25-inch touchscreen display, an auto-dimmable mirror, LED DRLs, a two-tone imitation leather trim, and a panoramic roof.
Customers will be able to choose between a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine rated at 115 PS (113 hp / 85 kW), a turbo diesel with the same displacement and power, and a 1.4-liter gasoline turbo with 140 PS (138 hp / 103 kW). Transmission choices will include six-speed manual, seven-speed DCT, and CVT.
