Pimped-out Hyundai Creta N-Line goes on sale in Brazil

Hyundai started taking pre-orders for the top ‘N-Line’ spec of its compact SUV Creta. The car is actively advertised as a sports utility vehicle despite lacking any additional power. Prices will begin from 159,490 Real ($32,600 USD).

Most of the novelty can be seen outside the car. The list begins with a new front bumper that no longer has integrated anti-fog lights (the triangles you see at the sides are actually turn signals), but sports a large air intake instead. The entire car is slightly darker with such elements as the radiator grille and the LED headlights blacked out for extra style points.

A look from the side reveals new 17-inch wheels, side sill extensions and an optional contrast roof available with a white, grey or silver body finish.

The interior is largely finished in black with red accents. There is a three-spoke sports steering wheel and a special transmission selector, and the seats boast special N-Line embroidery.

It would be incorrect to say that the tech stays the same: the steering has been tweaked, and the suspension has become stiffer. However, the only engine under the hood is the old 1.0-liter turbo mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. with 120 PS (118 hp / 88 kW) under its command, it takes the crossover SUV from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a sluggish 11.5 seconds. This puts the Creta N-Line a below its regular counterpart in terms of power, because the latter also ships with a 2.0-liter, 167-PS (165-hp / 123-kW) engine in Brazil.

Other noteworthy options include a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch, touch-enabled infotainment system, a wireless charger pad, lots of driver assists and three electronic drive modes to switch between.
