2025 Hyundai Creta goes on pre-order in India

Hyundai has completely unveiled its Creta facelift for the Indian market, where you can already make a reservation. Full-fledged sales will begin later this month.

The current Creta generation arrived in India in 2019 and was overdue some plastic surgery. The new version looks much more in line with the company’s latest design language, resembling a downsized Santa Fe with its boxy front grille, revised bumpers with fake rugged trims and a LED stripe with U-shaped DRLs at the front. The taillights are styled in the same vein as the headlights.

Inside, the dashboard is different and now houses a duo of 10.25-inch displays. Hyundai has apparently abandoned the idea of using separate screens with sun visors. The center console also looks new and accommodates more up-to-date HVAC controls. Judging by the images, the transmission tunnel has changed, too.

Like before, buyers can choose between two 1.5-liter engines – a naturally aspirated petrol one rated at 115 PS (113 hp / 86 kW) and a diesel with the same power rating. A third, turbocharged petrol option is also going to be available, but Hyundai has yet to reveal its characteristics. Rumors say it may deliver up to 160 PS (158 hp / 118 kW).

There are also four transmission options on offer: six-speed manual, six-speed automatic, seven-speed DCT, and CVT.

The facelift brings along a broader range of safety aids and driving assists. Hyundai claims that there are more than 70 of them available, but inexplicably includes such mundane things as disc brakes or ESP in the list. Six airbags come preinstalled as standard, and higher trim levels get you up to 19 SmartSense driving aids.

Other nice extras for the buyers in India include ventilated seats, panoramic top, dual-zone climate control and eight-channel Bose audio system.
