Hyundai Elantra N Line debuts on official photos

The 2020 Hyundai Elantra made its first public appearance four months ago (see video), and today, the Korean marque has announced its “souped-up” N Line version.

In this largely cosmetic upgrade, the sedan gets aggressively styled bumpers, a rear diffuser, a different radiator grille, 18-inch wheels, twin exhaust tips, and a rear spoiler.

In all likelihood, the car will borrow its engine from the previous-gen Elantra/Avante Sport. The 1.6-liter turbocharged mill produces 204 PS (150 kW) and can be paired with a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Other likely equipment includes multi-link suspension at the rear end (currently only available with the hybrid spec) and performance brakes.

It remains open how fast the new Hyundai Elantra N Line is or what its interior looks like. The reveal will take place later this year, and the range-topping Elantra N will probably join the lineup in the future, although it remains unannounced.
