Hyundai Elantra N shows up naked

Shortly after revealing its first N-series crossover SUV, Hyundai has announced its first N saloon. The car, which is set to debut soon, will be known as the Elantra N in most of the world and as the Avante N on its domestic market of South Korea.

In the meantime, the car manufacturer has revealed a few teaser sketches showing the model without any camouflage. You can find these in our gallery alongside some older, camouflaged photos.

Like other N models, the performance sedan sports an impressive body kit including a rear wing, upsized rims and exhaust tips, and overall styling cues that make it looks much more aggressive than the mildly sported-up N Line version.

The powertrain comes unchanged from the Euro-spec i30 N. The main 2.0-liter turbo engine can be obtained in 250 PS (247 hp / 184 kW) and 280 PS (276 hp / 206 kW) versions and mated to either a manual transmission or a dual-clutch one. The drive stays on the front axle no matter which specification you choose.
