Hyundai unveils next-gen i10 ahead of premiere

Instead of waiting for the IAA 2019, Hyundai has chosen to cut with the drama and release all photos and technical specs of its smallest city hatchback, the i10.

To us, the new A-Class looks much sportier than its predecessor, while also being 20 mm (0.8”) wider and taller. Exterior highlights include reshaped front grille, dual-tone paintjob, round LED running lights, and new 16-inch alloy wheels.

The interior now boasts an 8-inch multimedia sensor panel overlooking the center console and forming a duo with the digital dash. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both supported in the new version.

The Europe-spec Hyundai i10 will ship with an all-around camera view system and an extended safety feature set, notably including lane control, collision prevention, automatic high/low beam etc.

Two engines will be available: a three-cylinder unit with 67 hp (50 kW) and a four-cylinder one with 84 hp (63 kW). Transmission can be five-speed manual or semi-automatic.
