With nothing better to do during the ongoing pandemic, Hyundai has released photos and videos of its upcoming hot hatch, i20 N, shot while the prototype was running tests in wintertime Arjeplog, Sweden.
The materials show a disguised test car accompanied by the rally-oriented i20 WRC model and the mid-engined RM19.
Compared to its standard version, the N sports more sophisticated bumper design, larger wheels, performance brakes, and lower ride height.
No technical details exist to date. Industry observers suppose that the hot hatch will get the same turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the i30 N, potentially getting up to 275 hp (205 kW) of power. That said, it might wind up with a lower-spec 1.6-liter engine rated close to 200 hp (150 kW).
The new Hyundai i20 N will likely be revealed in summer.
