Hyundai has come out with a special edition of its i30 N hot hatch, called the Project C. The N in the model description stands for ‘Namyang R&D Center’, while the C denotes the Area C of the Korean carmaker’s testing ground, where it usually puts its very fastest vehicles to pre-production trials.
The car comes with the old engine still rated at 275 hp (205 kW). Despite that, its overall dynamics should see a definite improvement thanks to a lightweight body construction and sporty-looking 19-inch wheels.
Hyundai promises to use carbon fiber and keep the road clearance as low as is still practical. Finally, while the model traditionally wears a blue paint, the special edition wears orange.
All details will be announced at the IAA Frankfurt 2019 on September 12-22. The planned production run amounts to 600 units, and the company limits the sales geography to Europe.
