H&R announces long-awaited Hyundai i30N coilovers

A year ago, H&R launched sales of fixed-height lowering springs for the Hyundai i30N, but height-adjustable coilovers weren’t on the list until now.

The old lowering kit costs €317 and is compatible with electronic suspension only. The new coilover kit is compatible with the entire i30N range, including Fastback and Performance versions. It comes at a significant premium (€1,549) and necessitates simultaneously purchasing a €299 suspension swap kit that suppresses the manufacturer’s warnings about altered components.

The result seems well worth it, though, with the ride height being reduced by 20–40 mm (0.8–1.6 inches) on both axles. Aside from making the car more agile in curves, it lends it a sportier stance and reduces shaking without impacting the long-distance driving comfort, H&R claims.

The springs should become available to pre-order soon. Also on the list are roll stabilizers (€701 for a full kit, €392 front axle only) and Trak+ wheel spacers (30mm / 1.2”, €128 per axle).
