Hyundai i30 N Line to go on sale before summer end

South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has released a quasi-sport version of its i30 N hatchback, titled “i30 N Line”. Unless you look closely, the half-breed looks identical to its full-fledged sibling.

Here’s where to look. The Hyundai i30 N Line has no red stripes on the bumpers, its radiator grille has finer cells, the rear spoiler is much smaller and the twin exhaust pipes are located next to each other, rather than at both sides of the vehicle’s rear.

The interior of the Hyundai i30 N Line mostly mimics that of its senior sibling, save for the more “buff” steering wheel appearance and metallic pedal pads. Seats with side supports are optionally available.

The pseudo-sport car also features larger brake discs, genuine Michelin tires, and advanced suspension.

The vehicle comes equipped with the same choice of engines, a 1.4L turbo gas engine with 140 hp (104 kW) and a 1.6L turbo diesel with 136 hp (101 kW). Both can work in conjunction with either manual or semi-automatic transmission.

Each Hyundai i30 N Line takes almost nine seconds to get going at 100 km/h (62 mph). Its sportier counterpart – the i30 N – only needs 6.4 seconds to accomplish the same.

Sales in Europe begin late this summer. Prices remain unknown.
