A recent YouTube video follows a disguised Ioniq 5 prototype passing a charging station somewhere in South Korea and driving on public streets.
The footage gives us a good idea of the dimensions and proportions of Hyundai’s upcoming all-electric flagship. We also get a glimpse of its rear end with pixelated taillights, 20-inch wheels and doors with slide-out handles.
The crossover SUV comes based on a platform known as the E-GMP, which will later be reused by Genesis and Kia-branded EVs.
While not official, rumors persist that the Ioniq 5 will be getting a dual-engine setup rated at 313 PS (309 hp / 230 kW) and a 73-kWh traction battery sufficient for 550 km (342 miles) of range.
