When Hyundai Motor Group introduced the Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6, it admitted both had more common points than differences. Based on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), they come with identical drivetrains and weigh around the same. But do they accelerate the same as well? The video below provides an answer.
Before we begin, though, it needs to be pointed out that the Ioniq 5 shown here is an SE spec that weighs slightly less than the EV6 does. The latter compensates for it by using a set of Titan 7 lightweight aftermarket wheels. In the end, though, the Ioniq 5 is still just a tad lighter.
