Judging by the brisk sales of Hyundai’s Ioniq 5, the battery SUV hits the design sweet spot for most customers. Still, some are always on the lookout for a sportier, more aggressive appearance. Indonesian tuner Coga Bodykit has them covered.
With its new aero parts, the Ioniq 5 looks more like a street racer than an SUV. It boasts massive front fender flares, a wide fake-carbon splitter at the front end and a new bumper with an enlarged air intake – also fake, considering that there is no combustion engine under that hood.
There are also pronounced side skirts, a rear diffuser and a large two-tier rear wing that rises above the roof of the SUV, lending it a WRC hot hatch look.
A set of ultra-wide Rotiform wheels finished in black with Advan tires round off the project. The air-ride suspension is lowered.
The tuned car was exhibited at a tuning show in Jakarta, Indonesia around a week ago. Interestingly, the tuner chose to work with the entry-priced Ioniq 5 model (170 PS / 168 hp / 125 kW) and not the performance-laden Ioniq 5 N (650 PS / 641 hp / 478 kW).
