Drive Australia has published some new details about the still-to-be-announced N version of the all-electric Hyundai Ioniq 6. Anonymous sources are saying that the sedan is scheduled for release in 2025 with two electric motors rated at 640 PS (631 hp / 471 kW) – higher than its SUV counterpart.
When Hyundai introduced the RN22e Concept last year (see below), it called it ‘a window into the future of the EV N.’ That car had 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW) at its disposal and could sprint in 3.5 seconds. It also served as a test platform of sorts for high-performance vehicles based on the E-GMP chassis. It seems likely that the concept car may later distill into a mass-produced model, like the Ioniq 6 N.
The Korean automaker also pointed out that the RN22e Concept was loaded with features designed to improve driving engagement and enjoyment, such as torque vectoring.
