The next generation of the Hyundai Creta SUV has been repeatedly spotted on the streets lately, sometimes even without the usual test mule mascara. Today, Hyundai has revealed the interior photos of the ix25, Creta’s Chinese sibling.
The cabin of the car is now dominated by a large vertical display occupying most of the center console. The instrument panel is also digital, and the air blowers have been redesigned.
According to the Korean car manufacturer, the next-gen Creta / ix25 is 10 mm (0.4 inches) longer and wider than its predecessor, and has 20 mm (0.8 inches) more space between the axles (now 2,610 mm / 8.56 ft.).
The series is expected to ditch the old naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine in favor of a new 1.5-liter mill with 115 hp (86 kW) and 144 Nm (106 lb-ft) of torque. The range-topping Hyundai Creta / ix25 will ship with a 1.4-liter turbo mill rated at 140 hp (104 kW). The entry-level engine will be available with a CVT, while the turbo will ship bundled with a 7-G DCT.
