Chinese customers will be getting the Hyundai ix35 with a more fashionable exterior and cabin, an advanced infotainment system with a vertical touchscreen display, and a digital dashboard.
The car looks little like its predecessor with its slim headlights built into the front grille and brake lights connected with a strip – all LED-based now.
The interior is quite modern and features a 10.4-inch portrait-oriented multimedia screen, an adjustment knob, a new steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and quality trimming materials throughout.
As far as new equipment is concerned, the 2021 ix35 boasts AEB, cruise control, 360-degree cameras, and a blind zone monitoring system. Things stay stock under the hood, where you can put a 1.4 T-GDI rated at 140 PS (138 hp / 103 kW) or a naturally aspirated 2.0L good for 160 PS (158 hp / 118 kW).
